A professional topographical survey captures the precise natural and man made features of land — contours, elevations, trees, utilities, buildings, fences, drainage and more — so designers, engineers and planners can make informed decisions.
Our surveys combine field expertise, modern instrumentation and robust QA to deliver clear, reliable mapping that speeds projects and reduces risk
Understand client objectives, deliverable formats, accuracy requirements, and site constraints (access, vegetation, traffic, permissions).
Review available background data (existing maps, satellite imagery, cadastral records) to plan efficient field operations.
Establish horizontal and vertical control using GNSS (RTK) or total station backed up by permanent benchmarks where required.
Tie survey control to national/local datum as requested.
Use a combination of GNSS RTK, total station, digital levels and laser scanners depending on scope.
Capture ground features: contours, spot heights, surface features (buildings, walls, kerbs), vegetation, utilities, drainage, fences and other assets.
Record photographs, attribute data and metadata for each feature for clarity during delivery and future auditing.
Process GNSS and total station observations; register point clouds where laser scanning is used.
Apply QA checks for accuracy, consistency and completeness; compare with control points and existing records.
Generate 2D plans, digital terrain models (DTMs), contour maps, cross sections and 3D models as required.
Annotate maps with legends, scale bars, north arrows, coordinate grids and survey notes.
Provide draft deliverables for client review; incorporate feedback and finalize outputs.
Handover raw datasets, CAD files, GIS layers and certified survey statements as required.
